Bangladesh’s first satellite Bangabandhu-1 Countdown begins for launch
The countdown for the second attempt to launch Bangladesh’s first commercial satellite Bangabandhu-1 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida has started after the blastoff was aborted a day earlier.
“T-30 minutes until Falcon 9 Block 5 launch of Bangabandhu Satellite-1. Launch webcast will go live about 15 minutes before liftoff,” SpaceX tweeted at 1:44am Bangladesh time on Friday.
The first backup launch window opens at 2:14am.
Around one and a half hours before the opening of the launch window, the space flight and technology firm said in a Twitter post: “All systems looking good for Falcon 9’s launch of Bangabandhu Satellite-1.”
“Weather is 70% favorable for today's launch window,” it added.
